Storage Cylinder

Once your solar panels are installed the solar system needs a place to store the hot water generated, this can be any of the following

1. An un-vented solar hot water cylinder.
2. An open vented copper cylinder.
3. Heat store.

The storage system comes in a variety of sizes and depends on:

•the number of people in the household
•the amount of hot water required daily for baths, showers etc.

These cylinders are connected directly to the solar system and the solar heats up the water to be used. When there is a further need to heat the water (for example - in winter) the cylinder is connected to a central heating boiler or electric emersion heater.
